Leeds, Newcastle, Shef Utd for the drop

As the season progresses I have a feeling that the three Northern teams could be the ones to go down this year, not that I'd be happy about it! I thought West Brom were bankers but now that Fat Sam has arrived I'm not so sure. Leeds run out of steam at the end of the season with the Bielsa style of play, Newcastle are falling like a lead balloon and Shef U are certs for the drop.

Leeds are ten points clear, they will pull out enough results over the season to stay up, way too good to go down.
newcastle will have money to spend in Jan if it looks like they’re in any trouble too.
Expect it will be Sheffield, Fulham and either Burnley or WBA

After last weeks embarrassing cup defeat and losing today to Brighton it could start to get messy for them soon. They are so open and the goals are starting to dry up.

No chance Leeds will go down, they have plenty of points already and will pick up enough wins to get to 40. Newcastle could get sucked into it though

Newly promoted clubs always get sucked in even after looking good in first part of a season . So I can Leeds points gap going right down now . Big Sam will make it hard for sure . Wba could be out of the bottom three by 2 feb based on who their play

You wouldn't be happy about leeds and Newcastle going down? What's wrong with you? I'd be ecstatic 😁

I don’t think you’re right, but would love it if you were. Though wouldn’t mind if Sheff scraped in.

I fancy Sheff Utd, Fulham and Brighton to go down.
Wouldn’t be overly surprised to see Newcastle go down though.

This could be Leeds worst period of the season, the fixtures in January for a start all look like defeats off the back of 2 defeats . Fulham have 2 games in hand and big Sam will improve wba .

I've seen a few people talk about Leeds falling away as per usual, but there are fewer games in that league and after Xmas they don't come in those fixture gluts like the Championship. I think they have enough to stay up.

If Allardyce keeps WBA up then I can only say that he is a brilliant manager. I would be astonished to see them emulate Roy Hodgson's feat with Fulham because their defence looks so leaky. They would need to score 2 or 3 every week with the mistakes they make at the back.

Newcastle may well be dragged into this with Bruce's tactics. I understand the shutting up shop to avoid Harlem Globetrotter results against the big boys, but I've seen play against the teams around them as if they're up against a World Cup select XI.

No way will Leeds be threatened with the bottom 3

Sheff Utd, WBA & Fulham for me
On present form Leeds are struggling. They have form under Bielsa for doing so. Their high tempo style leads to tired legs early in the new year. It happened in 2018-19, it happened last season (until the Covid break when they were able to get some rest) and seemingly their form is dipping again.

Great though Bielsa is with only Bamford, who has been great this season, as their regular goal scorer they have an issue up front.

I don't think so either, said the same when they were winless & struggling afterca month or so at the start of the season, cracking manager he'll get enough points to keep em up, though the games against each other will be the deciding factor & Dyche thrives in those games
