Think he will leave permanently next season?

He’s been criticised a lot by fans including me and apparently he’s doing fairly well at Rotherham, well decent enough for their fans to want him to sign for them. Surprised he hasn’t scored one of his long rangers yet mind.

I think he will be off and good luck to him he is. He’s probably not of the standard we require but he has scored some pearlers for us so fairplay to him.

From Beeb report:

Wing almost caught Huddersfield goalkeeper Ryan Schofield off his line anticipating a cross, but this time the crossbar came to the home side's rescue.

Wiles missed another excellent chance in the final minutes as he was found by Wing at the far post, but missed from close range.

From Rotherham report:

Wing floated an inch-perfect ball into the channel and Wiles showed his marker, a clean pair of heels, to burst into the home box, and the Rawmarsh-born youngster kept his nerve, to pull the ball back into the advancing run of Crooks, who looked a likely scorer, but his low effort cannoned against the outside of the post, before falling to safety.

The Millers were enjoying their best spell of the game, but again the woodwork came to Huddersfield’s rescue, when Wing tried his luck with a long-range free-kick, but with Schofield beaten, the ball smashed against the top of the crossbar.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him leave, but we're short of midfielders and he can play well when we're piling on pressure rather than trying to defend.

Sounds like he’s finding his range then.

I think he will leave. It's probably better for him if he's gonna play every week. He will be going into his final year at Boro.

I imagine a few champo clubs would take a punt. I'm not sure Rotherham will stay up but they may want him if they do and he's enjoying himself.

I think it's best for all that he leaves.

We could get a half decent fee for him, he can go to a team that will play him week in and week out. We can sign a replacement who has better technique and knows how to play without the ball.

Good luck to him, he's scored some great goals for us, and we gave him his opportunity to have a pro career. We're all winners in that. But keeping him in our team is an admission of returning to fighting to stay up, not an attempt to get back to a play off side.

I’d be interested to see if he would be willing to extend his contract by 1 year and go out on loan again for a full season to another lower championship club (or Rotherham again, if they don’t get relegated).

Not sure he will command much of a fee in todays climate. There is going to be a lot of movement in close season and prices for most will be rock bottom.

Wish the lad well though.

that's true, there was talk of 5mill when he broke through, but maybe with his drop in form and lower fees we might get a mill for him? You are right though, huge number of free signings and a lot lower transfer fees for most clubs

I reckon we would do well to get between 300 and 500 k in the current climate. Can’t see anyone shelling out a million pound.
we could do with him banging in a couple of long range specials in teh final games, to bump his fee up

Yeah, that would be nice. Start a bit of a bidding war. Could see the likes of Preston coming in for him. Think he would suit them.

Funny if true . . .

Now Howson and Morsy blunders . . .
It's very true, he goes wandering regularly. Howson lets people run off him too, but not as often. Morsy is pretty good at blocking the space and passing lines, but he's a very pennyland Boateng

MOM for them yesterday apparently. 4 shots 3 on target. Been unlucky not to open his scoring account with them hitting woodwork several times. After watching Saville and Howson last few games he could walk into this team. As a team we haven't managed 3 shots on target in the last 2 games.
