Liverpool are 10th

At one point yesterday Aston Villa went above them and Liverpool dropped into the bottom half of the table. Unfortunately, Leicester staged a comeback and kept Liverpool in the top half of the PL.

I would love for them to miss out on Europe.

Did Klippery Klopp not do something similar at Dortmund? After a few good years left them in relegation places and resigned. Could not get out of a bad run.

Or have I just dreamt it..
Dreamt it i think. They finished 7th in his last season and he had already announced that it was his last.

Watched the MOTD highlights this morning and they are still creating chance but Nunez and Gakpo keep missing 'em, they're being dominated in midfield and their defence is manned by rejects from the Keystone Cops, aside from that no real problems...

Excellent isn't it.

Truth is, they've overperformed for a few seasons now. Collective has been much better than the sum of its parts. They're a graveyard for decent midfielders and haven't been able to pull off the mane/Salah recruitment trick again. Squad is far too small and those coming through the academy are dross.

If Klopp can't get a tune out of them though they could be in for a very long few seasons.

Thomas Frank would be my choice to go there next I think.

11 points separates the two.
A few good wins from Dyche and its not inconceivable Everton will be scorching their arzes

They are top of the financial sustainability league though so perhaps that's an overachievement that should be applauded. . Middlesbrough by contrast are bottom of the Championship.

There's definitely some satisfaction on my part after hearing everyone bleating on about how good Liverpool's recruitment has been over recent seasons when in reality it's been a disaster. If you look at the starting 11 from their champions league win in 2019 they haven't improved on a single player in that lineup. They've lost a few of them and the rest have just got older (but not better).

He'll go in October and take his family back to Germany .
That's when the Klopps go back .

Oi get your own jokes ;;)

Got to admit it's hilarious watching Liverpool fall down the league.

Wolves are the lowest scoring team in the league....then go smash 3 past Liverpool.

Brilliant.

Just seen the great stat that Leicester's Wout Faes is Liverpool's top PL goalscorer since the World Cup ...

Its fantastic to watch and see the people of the Peoples Republic of Merseyside struggling like this.

Klopp has done great at Liverpool and they have had some great moments in the past few years. I always felt every season they would drop off - I could not see Salah continuing as he was, nor Mane and Firminho being as good. I could not see how he could get Henderson, Milner, Fabinho etc playing with the energy they did but they kept producing. This season however, it has crashed and burned. The Recruitment has been poor, Salah has lost his way and the likes of Milner, Henderson and Fabinho are looking way past their best. The defence is a mess as well.

They needed to change the midfield for the past two seasons and have not and the attackers brought in are too inconsistent.

Long may this dip continue

They were literally 2 games away from winning a record Quadruple last season.

Fast forward 7/8 months and they're mid table, crashed out of both domestic cup comps, very highly unlikely to finish in top 4 and have a 2 legged tie in the CL against the reigning European champions.

It really is a huge drop in such a short amount of time.
