Lowcocks soda

I'm gonna tell you a story. And, as unbelievable as it will seem, it's absolutely true.

One morning, me and my mate Charlie were walking to school. Hustler, as it happens. We were walking along Roman Rd and, as we got to the junction with Green Lane, a Lowcocks pop wagon rolled up along side us. I don't remember exactly how the timing of these events went, but me and Charlie joked about "wouldn't it be funny if a couple of crates fell off that lorry". We crossed with the lollipop person and set off down Thackeray Grove. The pop wagon must ave been held upat the junction becasue it passed us on Thackeray Grove. Then, for some reason, maybe a cat or a dog ran out in front of it, I don't know. It swerved and breaked sharply. God knows how many crates of Lowcocks lovelines fell off the wagon. Me and Charlie looked at each other and just laughed. We grabbed as many Dandelion and Burdock and Cream Soda bottles as we could, and legged it. You don't forget a Lowcocks moment like that, even when you are into your seventh decade :p

Are they still on the go?

If so, unaffected by the sugar tax?

Is there a God?

That would be a dream scenario.

It's not too late to hand yourselves in.
Do the right thing.

Lowcocks was actually set up in Middlesbrough by 2 RAF pilots who met in hospital after both losing their legs in separate air battles .
hahaaaa, eff off, really?

Not sure it`s right to say I hope it`s true and just your dark humour

Made me laugh anyway, hopefully for the right reasons

I used to do a lowcocks pop round many many moons ago around Stockton, Billingham & parts of the boro.

Guy who set it up asked me & me mate if we wanted to buy it if we had the cash we would have too.
