Luton v Bournemouth

Justice has been restored IMHO.

It was defo offside but the ref gave it. After loads of protests from Bournemouth he consulted his linesman who had absolutely no chance of seeing which player it came off. It was like VAR, but without the technology.

You are right but I can’t get too excited with the outcome as it was the right one. Saw it on the box here in the pub and it seemed to take an age to decide which I don't understand as there is no VAR. Just going to the game now but Luton have been the better side and hope they can now hold on for the win.

Anyone watching highlights won't have the same experience of seeing it in real time. The ref blew for a goal and the teams returned to the centre except for 3 Bournemouth players who protested to the linesman.

At first I thought the scorer was offside but on the first replay, (which was probably what the ref saw) it appeared to have come off a Bournemouth defender.

They then showed a other angle which showed it had actually rebounded of a Luton attacker, so was offside. I thought OK, so the ref got it wrong, get in.

Then the linesman puts his flag up.

Would VAR have disallowed the goal for the Luton lad lying just behind the keeper?

Fair play to the keeper for just playing on - he could have 'accidentally' gotten into a tangle once the ball was cleared.
