Why do you have to be insulting ? Ive used Teesside airport a few times and i hope to to Malaga i just wish the flight times where more convenient.
You’re reading the room incorrectly. The general board stance is that it’s everyone else’s flying that’s the problem.

Cost plays a part too, as the airlines pay for slots which is ultimately passed on in the price of a ticket. Budget airlines therefore generally have to either fly at either extreme of the day or fly to secondary airports with lower costs for the slots.
Even Manchester is dominated by budget airlines these days, there's probably only Heathrow which offers a good choice of price x destination x convenience.

I was shrunk with the kids in a terrible accident at the turning on of the Xmas lights in Exeter , Exeter to Bristol in my Noddy car usually takes 8 days.

I can't see the problem with the times. Just tie up your plans with a one night stay in Rockliffe Hall for 4£00+ and add value to the £80 or whatever flight you getting

I love going abroad but I've taken the decision not to fly again. I can't stand what its doing to the climate.
When I get old and retire I might go on a 3 week train trip across Italy. It's UK holidays for me from now and meetings on zoom. You don't need disneyland, the thrill of going down the bank at Staithes when it's icy is enough for me.

There are couple more , and there be loads who don't post on here any more because they cant be bothered with being jumped on if they compliment anything related to TVCA.
+ I have to fly because my standard of living since Brexit and the Pandemic has reduced dramatically so to take the train now is a luxury I can't afford anymore. This was after catching various trains in 2015 from Exeter, London, Paris Hendaye to Madrid, because I agreed in principle with the reasoning behind it and I could afford to make travel choices based upon those principles.

This is great news.
Flew from Teesside to Palma in the summer for a family holiday and the convenience of flying from Teesside was so good.
The speed from which you enter the airport, to getting through passport control and into the departure lounge was incredible. It took less than 10 minutes from walking into the airport and being sat down in departures with a lovely pint of Guinness.
And then returning, from walking off the plane, going through passport control, collecting suitcases and getting into the car home was less than 25 minutes.
I'd happily pay extra to fly from Teesside, than flying from Leeds/Newcastle, for pure convenience.

I'd like to do is visit lots of local places in one planned extended holiday, if i ever get to do that in later life. I'd do so on public transport, probably getting there via eurostar then short town to town trips on local services, staying say 3 days in each place.
As well as air travel being really awful for carbon emissions, I do like the journey being part of a holiday, meetimg charcaters andvseeing life along the way. I always think aviation breaks the link between people and place and i think that's a little bit sad.

Cycling would be best but thats not for me. Whereabouts do you live mate? What an amazing country and people.
