Stolen from the Guardian:

Since the start of the 2018 season City have amassed 338 points, Liverpool 337. We are witnessing the 2 best sides ever seen in English football.

Over the same period they have contested 3 of 4 CL finals.

- What a rivalry. Have there ever been two better teams going hammer and tongs? Predictions for Sunday? Which team is better?

I've no animosity towards either and appreciate what great teams they are. Hopefully it'll be a goal filled classic.
The only criticism I'd level at either side are that Cancelo and Alexander Arnold are no Issah Jones's 😉

It's still no Ferguson vs Wenger, United v Arsenal at its best. Maybe that's just the nostalgia talking.
there was always on edge to the man u arsenal games. right back to the game that resulted in points deducted. the keown and ruud incident and keane going for vieira in the tunnel at highbury.

this one on sunday has no edge. brilliant teams but they could do with a big old fight in the middle and a bench bust up to give it some metal moving forward :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Mark Lawrenson said if Man City 'turn up' they'll win.

He's probably right but no team has the option to select from 5 top class forwards like Klopp has.

I don't care about the 'oil money'. We'd all take it.

I'm really hoping City win it. Liverpool fans are like UTD. Entitled based on history and unbearable when winning. They also pretty quickly dissappear when they are having a bad patch.

I love how UTD and Liverpool fans go on about City and Chelsea spending. They quickly forget that they have out spent everyone for 20 years between the 80s and 90s.

They just don't like other clubs having spending and challenging for titles.

It's some game though👏

I can't abide Liverpool and thier fans who all seem to believe the club is some divine entity superior to everyone else. I also thing Klopps a wänker, his man of the people act is hollow. He is a disturbing of influence behind many of the changes to the game and premier league structure with the sole purpose of tightening the elite clubs grip on the game.

If City had signed Kane I think they'd be a new level up again.
Liverpool play a more pragmatic system which I prefer, City can be too much about possession: sideways & backwards.. though they have improved that recently.
Klopp.. is nice gentle smiley cheery chappie when they are winning, a ranting bile spewing troll when, anything, is going against them... Pep, not perfect, is the better of the two.
I hope City stuff em.. though can see it being close..

Hopefully Liverpool win.
The recent leaks to do with Citeh's financial dealings could prove what we've known all along.

That is an amazing statistic and is testament to the brilliance of both sides. Both play a fantastic style of football than has to be admired even by the fans of their rival teams.

I've got to agree about the edge between peak Wenger Arsenal and Ferguson's Man United. Those games had quality players but were an absolute battle at times.

Hoping City win, fewer irritating fans on the Internet compared to Liverpool.

Mostly hoping it's an entertaining match though.

Liverpool fans have never disappeared.

Check the attendance stats vs City and Utd and you'll soon realise you're talking shiite.

They are both great teams but those stats don't necessarily don't give that conclusion. They might just show how poor the rest of the league are.
In the same way that Rangers and Celtic no doubt generally amass a lot of points over a number of seasons.
The recent CL performamces do however show that English football is strong.
Although City and Liverpool haven't contested 3 out of the last 4 finals. One or the other have been in 3 out of the 4 which is a bit different. Liverpool twice, City once.
More impressive is that 5 of the last 8 finalists have been EPL teams.
