Man Utd Pricing in Telegraph

Just been phoned by the Telegraph's north west football correspondent to comment about the £45/46 pricing of tickets at Old Trafford and the lack of generosity of concessions.
I said I expected we would sell out because these are exciting times at Boro but to charge over £15 more than the Premier maximum away tariff is appalling. Such a contrast to Crystal Palace and Hartlepool. Not wanting to compare ourselves to a club two divisions below us but these are hard times for everyone right now and for a massive club to cash in at the expense of fans in this way leaves a very bitter taste.
Anyway, he said it would only be a paragraph or so but at least give him credit for giving us some coverage.
Hopefully in the future home clubs will have to adhere to some moral pricing in the FA Cup as well as the Premier League.

Blackburn should be commended by the NW correspondent in the piece though.

Nice touch at charging reasonable prices and we're taking 3000, for a televised game, not 'to see united'

Nice one Rob 👌🏻

The strange thing is how they jump £16 if you request more. You'd think they'd be less.

I guess it would envolve moving many UTD ST holders from regular seats.

I'm not sure about now but a couple of years ago they have to attend cup matches (or at least purchase a ticket). That's why it's always full.

How much are MU fans being charged?

I would say £45/£46 for Friday 8pm ITV game 4th round FAC game is bordering on financial abuse.

Can something be done to give Boro fans free transport to soften the pain?

People should have Boycotted the match, the only way change will come
We have done but a lot of people who would never go to an away game will turn out for this. Good luck to them though I hope we do really well and they consider coming again. Maybe we will get City in the next round.

US owners only care about $ & making away supporters pay more is just business for them - they don't care about football, MU fans so sure don't about us..

we do sell out a good portion of away games and sell out quickly from what's reported so not so easy to start going away

The different division or size of club shouldn't really make a difference. Palace are paying Hartlepool travel which is a generous offer but just because Hartlepool are a poor club it doesn't make the fans poor. I wouldn't be richer if I supported Man City for example.

Clubs should stop taking the **** out of fans, no matter which club they support. I get that it ultimately boils down to supply and demand but it still feels like fans are constantly being exploited. I'm going to pay the £45 because I want to see Boro but it is annoying. It also irritates me that we do the same and overcharge our own fans and away fans so I can't even take the moral high ground.
