Marcus Browne cant be far away from playing

Not sure what to expect. He was a only fringe player for so long, and was just about forcing himself into the team after a few decent performances, and then got that awful injury. Been out for ages now.

When is he contracted until?

Warnock said he wasn't expecting him to play first team football before the new year, I expect Wilder will be even more cautious.

The problem is, whilst he has been out he has slipped down the pecking order, with Sporar and Uche coming in and Coburn progressing through the ranks.

I'm not expecting much from Marcus tbh, he wasn't great before he was injured was he. Hope he can get away on loan for some first team football.

I didn't think he was all that tbh, hope he does come good though

2 goals and 1 assist in 5 appearances, despite Warnock apparently hating him and not wanting him at the club (as he was weirdly keen to point out in his last few press conferences before being sacked).

Yeah was just going to say this. He's not an out and out striker at all. Think on his last loan to Oxford he actually played CM? Which is obviously an area we are short in.
Yes, he'll be competing for one of the two more advanced midfield roles I think and I also think it will suit him too, as it will tav.

He was class before the injury!!
Really? He's a league one footballer. He could barely get into the team under woody and warnock and then picked up a horrendous injury, class is very far fetched. He did okay for a very short period.

Bola and Dijksteel couldn’t get in the squad either under Woodgate. Browne progressed under Warnock and was looking like a canny player. He did better than ok

I'm a little suprised about some of the 'hype' around him returning. I mean he's been with us nearly 3 years and we still don't know if he's any good.

Injuries and lack of form that resulted in a loan move. Also that crazy Swansea game where he simply lost his head.

I'm not sure. I guess it's another option but don't really know why we should expect him to be class? I think his contract is up in the summer. So needs to show us something.

That said he's quick and direct and can probably play in 2-3 advanced positions. Wilder may have a plan for him.

When did he look “canny” under Warnock? As he only played 60 mins in total from the bench and 70 mins v Wycombe before he got injured again.

Sorry newy just saw this, as the poster above states he hardly played at all and looked bang average. IMO of course. Bola and dijk are well ahead of him.
