It looks so much safer when a LCB, has to turn back and pass to the centre back, can just play it across the body, very simple. Same with putting it down the line, the ball will always want to stay in play, rather than curling out too.

Definitely not what he 'looks'. Just looks a rugged champo CB who will rough people up.

Yet very comfortable on the ball and loves coming out from the back. I'd say absolutely suited to 3 at the back.

My pompey supporting mate says a 'f*cking baller' in a strong pompey accent. You'd say at 2.5mil it's terrific buisness based on his champo experience. Also only 25. So great age.

You have to remember that he was in the final year of his contract, so the transfer fee is significantly smaller than had he not been, in which case we'd have been looking at a fee nearer double that.
