He looked fit when he played for Darlo, he just couldn’t be arsed. He was Kitman at Hartlepool and on about doing his badges. Interested to see what he is up to now after the big Chelsea hype.. hopefully he has a future in the game.

Yes he was just bone idle and lackadaisical, I wasn't suggesting he was unfit. Should have been clearer, sorry

It’s a shame, I think most young lads in his situation would think the same. They’ve got it made, they’re on the up and have an all star career ahead of them.

You gotta be a proper weirdo to make it I think and more often than not.. boring as fcuk. (more so in recent years)
 
Took a stupid gamble when with us by turning down a £2m? move to Swansea and winding down his contract looking for a big payday (think he'd already had two serious injuries by this point). Got another serious injury and that was that.

Knew a girl who went to school with him and one of his ex teachers. Neither were complimentary about him. But obviously people change/mature etc.

Him and Rhys Williams had a great partnership at the back under Mowbray one year and, pretty incredibly when you look back with hindsight, both remained fit for most of that season I think!

Rooted to the bottom three of the table, first win of the season yesterday. Lost two of their best players at the start of the season, one went to Darlo and I'm not sure of the other one.

I think it's down to the leagues been restructured over the past few seasons. Whitby used to be one of the top clubs with the pick of the best players in this area due to location and pyramid position. Not so much anymore as aswell as having the likes of Spennymoor, Darlington and Scarborough all in leagues above them they now have to contest for players with the likes of Marske, Stockton, Bridlington, Pontefract, Ossett Tadacster and further north the likes of South Shields, Morpeth, Dunston, North Shields and Consett.
