Memories of Posters

I must know at least 10 of them, back in the good old days

I knew MsCurly from childhood and Zoec is my mate's wife. Other than Bororeddaz and a handful I met through footy games organised on here, such as Skeelo and Piggy and the controversial lad with the croatia link, I'm not sure I know who anyone else is in person. Some know me because in real life most people know me as Lefty and sometimes mention a thread on hereto me, but I don't actually know who they are on here. I've probably insulted or argued on here with lots of people I know!

There are a few I know who are into the local gig scene, but even then I might only know two or three in person and their names on here.

I quite like that. The combination of me not really hiding behind an 'anonymous' username and not knowing who I'm debating with keeps me hopefully mostly respectful, but honest. Not always - sometimes I'm a knob, but that's a fair reflection of me in real life as well anyway, as I'm sure one or two will testify.

LiddleTowers - "Claret everywhere" - was he someone's invention or real?

Ginger Pig - hated Steve McClaren with a passion.

I realise now how much more enjoyable the board was certainly in the 2000s.

Too many people now with rigid agendas picking up on every single word written especially on the non football stuff. It feels at times you are on the panel of QT.

Liddle had a couple of guises I believe - one being Irving Mattress

we probably had more interesting football to talk about back then, and social media hadn't been politically weaponised like it has today. I found it largely more fun back then, but then I found life more fun too

Whatever happened to Kingy ?. I just got hold of Bob Mortimer's autobiography and thought there might be a reference to him in that.
