Merson pulls out of night at The Globe

I saw Merson at Guis Town FC last year and I wasn't impressed with him.

He couldn't wait to leave and refused to have photos with any 'fans' other than those who paid extra for what was a glorified VIP ticket.

Hignett then filled in for him later that evening who was actually much more entertaining and interesting - discussing all what happened with Aitor etc, whilst having some good banter.

I loved Merson as a player for us, as he was incredible that season.

But as a person, I'm not fond of him. I understand he has his demons and clearly struggles on many occasions, but he certainly doesn't help himself at times.

Surely the strictly thing can't be true. How can he do soccer Saturday until 6pm then be on bbc in less than an hr on the busiest day strictly has. If he is doing it they must be throwing a hugggeeee amount of money at him

You are spot on mate. Six figure sum it’s been reported. Good luck to him. Genuinely don’t get the hatred some have towards him tbh it’s only a bloody game of football, and it’s well known the bloke had his demons.
 
Absolutely fantastic footballer, one of the most naturally talented ive ever seen in a Boro shirt but the guys a pr*ck. I cant stand him.

Pushing this CBD stuff on social media, promoting gambling through sky even tho hes a gambling addict who knows the pain it causes. The way he tried to blame us for his short comings. Not to mention his other past goings on.

If he walked into a room i'd walk out.

What’s the harm in ‘pushing’ as you put it CBD products? He’s had financial problems, basically lost everything so why would he turn down decent money for easy work?
I don’t think he promotes gambling either but I could be proven wrong on that, every time I’ve heard him speak about gambling it’s the exact opposite of promoting it.

It just doesnt sit well with me the way its obviously people controlling his socials to post about this stuff.

Hes previously featured in SkyBet ads and promotes Super6.
 
The ex-Arsenal roadshow is coming close to me in September with Merse and Parlour not Brady. VIP packages are available and prominently promoted.

I have feeling the Boro could be the butt of a joke and/or snide comments and they will not be expecting any Boro fans at the event.
