Next week from Tuesday to Friday at 2pm we will be pulling on a pair of headphones and walking through Middlesbrough guided by 5 voices telling us their stories, their history and some hidden histories of Middlesbrough. We have just completed the soundtrack - mixed for us by A Man Called Adam. I think it will be a walk where people's eyes are opened as gthey walk in others shoes. Hopefully everyone on the tour will enjoy the experience learning something new about the streets and the park and perhaps gaining a little more understanding about the Middlesbrough of the 21st century and how we arrived here.

- We will hear about what lies beneath Ayresome Gardens and hear about a former restaurant - feeding the former Friday night lager and curry culture.
Tours are free - limited to 10 people each day. You book through Dorman Museum where we start each day from next Tuesday 27th May, 2pm.

Recorded by the brilliant award winning sonic pioneers A Man Called Adam - they have captured community voices creating a unique soundscape. You will be guided around the town and your eyes will be opened and another Middlesbrough Uncovered. That is the idea really to take people back in time but also look anew at Middlesbrough through others eyes.
I found it a fascinating process to be involved in. It is like stripping back the present day and stepping out along the streets at different time eras., guided by people that entered the scene in those different decades.
You don't need any equipment. we provide headphones but please dress appropriate to the weather. We will have actual guides walking with you as we progress around Middlesbrough as if in others shoes.
