Mike Ashley pulls out of proposed £25m Derby takeover and 'looking at other clubs'

No hes not dropped out. In fact ratcheting up the pressure on the situation. If anyone can nail that piece of jellysh1t called Mel Morris to the wall it's Ashley.
I think he'll be a better owner than people give him credit for. He'll want to get Derby into the Premiership to increase the value of Derby County FC as his asset.
 
So is that £55 million?

They have about £30 million in HMRC and footballing debts that must be paid, constant outgoings, the loans from MSD/Dell to service/settle and don't own the stadium or training complex I believe?

So what is the £25million buying/paying off?

They owe HMRC and Arsenal near enough £30 million for starters don't they?
 
No 3rd div side has sold for more than£26 why should Derby be any bettter ?
Not sure about the stadium situation mind when Sunderland were sold
 
He hasn't walked away.
His representative was on Sky Sports News last night. He's frustrated but he hasn't walked away - yet.

Maybe that's what the Derby County 2022 Ltd is for?

More money for the administrators, the club looks like they will be relegated anyway (further points deduction?) start in League One next season with Mike Ashley having picked the team up for buttons. Mel Morris still has his stadium.. EVERYBODY WINS!! (apart from HMRC, Dell, Arsenal, Boro & Wycombe)
 
From what i believe isnt our claim for about 4 or 5million damages? Probs the smallest of the main debts they could pay off first. If they can put a proposal to hmrc that theyre considering... they can put a proposal to mfc

"The cost of Derby County’s administrators has been disclosed.

Business advisory firm Quantuma took control of the Rams in the wake of Mel Morris’s decision to put the club into administration in September.

That saw Derby deducted 12 points, with another nine taken away recently for breaching Financial Fair Play rules under Morris.

Andrew Hosking, Carl Jackson and Andrew Andronikou, managing directors of Quantuma, are looking for new owners.

Despite the club’s huge debts, the joint-administrators are confident of finding a buyer and there are said to be four ‘interested parties’.

It is hoped new owners will be in place by early next year.


In the meantime, Quantuma are overseeing the running of the club.

The cost of their tenure has been disclosed in a new document filed with Companies House.

Derby's administrators estimate their fees at £1.5m plus expenses of £1.24m, including legal costs of £1.1m."

It wouldn’t surprise me if he could get Sunderland cheaper than Derby I don’t know how much the stadium would cost that’s the main difference
 
I suggested it tounge-in-cheek but I would think Sunderland would be a good investment (potentially) if you were willing to pump in the $
 
Ashley loves getting something on the cheap when it is on its knees. Didn't he try getting Rangers when they were relegated to Scottish Div 2 for financial cheating.

Ashleys representative was on SSN last night saying he is still keen on Derby.

My guess is Ashley will wait until the last day before liquidation and make his move, making cut down offeres to all the creditors with 2 hours to accept or not.
