They ruled Spain for like 800 years . The Spanish still hold celebrations of their independence from them .

Considering some countries hold grievances over things that happened 400 years ago, is it possible they still hold this grudge ?

I think they're trying to show how much of it is passing for passing's sake by Spain, rather than it being a brag.

Spain have made 3 times as many passes as Morocco, but they've not had 3 times as many chances.
