I think this will be the end of twitter. It'll end up regulated out of existence in many countries if it just becomes more of a platform for extremism.

twitter isnt in my life, I feel I am not disadvantaged and having heard first hand what social media can do to decent folk I have no wish to get involved... ps dont have a smart phone either ...

I don't think they will stop blocking the "nasty" stuff like racism and sex stuff, just more stuff like allowing trump to have a platform again. Imagine there will still be terms to adhere to though

Only joined to get footy (mainly Boro) and politics news that doesn't get onto the mainstream sites......but certainly an eye opener

I do hope he doesn't make any changes to the Twitter HQ staff restaurant, by far the best staff restaurant I've been to in terms of quality and variety of food and that includes both Meta and Google.

I mean he's getting rid of large swathes of the workforce, so they may have bigger things to worry about.

I think it’s not so much the nasty things he says. It’s the damage they cause: he lies and people believe him.

Anyone with half a brain cell knows to laugh at or ignore anything Trump says.

The problem is that there are far far too many people who act on all the rubbish that he gobs off about. Giving him a platform is very dangerous, potentially world endingly dangerous in the current geopolitical climate.
