My take on today’s match

Poor, really poor. The first half was one of the worst displays I have seen for a very long time. Pedestrian, lacklustre, lack of energy and application - frankly any professional footballer should be ashamed of their efforts put in. This constant passing back, passing along the back line - inclusive of passing to the keeper - WE ARE SIMPLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY THIS SORT OF GAME! Passing generally was poor, movement static in instances, lack of cohesion and penetration virtually non existent.

Second half marginally better. Make no mistake - we have issues. Without wingback without involvement - as today, we are a toothless, useless unit with very little threat.

Windeball has either been sussed or the players are unable to deliver.

This will not go down well with the rose- tinted brigade- we have issues far beyond bringing in strikers.

The issues are so fundamental- and I question that without a change in game approach we could well be seeking a new manager before the season’s end.

And this comes from a Wilder fan!

You're finally coming round to the fact that we shouldn't have sacked Neil 😮

When Wilder came in he put together a great run but after Xmas our inconsistencies returned and seemed to get worse as we ran into the end of the season. This start just feels like a continuation of that decline.
I agree we have some fundamental issues which need addressing that go way beyond striker issues.

The Reading commentators called us dross, imagine if we had less than the 75% possession we had in the first half.

Evening Norbert. A waste of an afternoon today I’m afraid. The club is cursed I tell you - cursed! Shocking display today and to top it all Reading were no great shakes at all

Nope backed nothing today. As a supporter you hope your team gives you something to cheer and get excited about. Not today hence the poor vocal support

75% possession achieved on fart arsing about with passes across the back line and including the keeper. Stats mean sod all!
The funniest thing about that was BBC Tees got told about it and when they were literally in the process of saying ' We hope our colleagues from BBC Radio Berkshire are enjoying 25% possesiom' Reading scored 😂

Was that mark dreary being a smart arsé:ROFLMAO:

There were plenty of passes but the problem was they were mostly our back three passing it square or backwards to each other. I think that stemmed from there being no outlet up front to hold it up. Forss on his own was easily marked out of the game and McGree may as well have stayed in the bus. These two hardly got a touch. Once Muniz and maybe Larsen or Riis come in we will be a much tougher prospect for defences to deal with. I like the look of Muniz, he’s strong, quick, skilful, and pretty good in the air - think he’s going to become a cult hero here

Hope that we have a good option-to-buy clause for our on-loan cult hero then
