Name a shop that is closed in Teesside that you love to bring back.

Also, can't remember the name, but there was a butcher's on Wilson Street whose potted meat was to die for. Can taste it now.

I have just seen this thread and saw Romer Parish and thought, YES only that... Then saw this. Uptons, holy crap I had so many good times in here as a your lad. I learned how to make the games playable for more than 2 or 3 minutes and of course the favourite (I was a nerd back then as well)

What is it with barbers? I used to get my haircut at Rays on Clarendon Rd back in the 70s. He always had fantastic jokes and anecdotes. Often had the shop in stitches. Nowt to do with his shaving technique I might add.
I used to go there. Got my first "Feather" cut off him.

I don't even know what potted meat is.
I'd like to bring back shiptons bakery. I'd like to bring back all the shops that sold pies as well. I think in the future people will mark the start of the decline of western civilization as the moment when the supermarkets closed their bakeries and replaced them with sushi bars.
