Nearly shat my pants today

I dropped my daughter off at Teesside Park this lunchtime, and a friggin huge Hawk landed on the roof of the car parked next to me.

Turns out there was a pest control dude walking around with the aforementioned Hawk, which was flying around to see of those unsavoury Pigeon types.

Didnt have time to hang around and see what it made of the good folk queuing outside Greggs.

Free falconry display!

Last falconry display I saw the falconer released the bird and it just fkked off into the distance. Apparently they do that sometimes! Do you remember a few years ago there was an Eagle Owl that had ferked off and set up home in Boro Town Centre? I saw it once outside the Cleveland Centre just perched on a wall I swear the thing was the size of a frikking labrador.

I took a great film of a Female Sparrow hawk knacking a crow on a street in Eston on my phone. Crow was squealing like a pig.

Pigeons are a menace near us. Are these "pest control dudes" available perhaps like Paladin with "have hawk will travel" ?

Well on Sunday morning I had a Raven/Crow/Jackdaw whatever come over to me at the Southlands football pitches, put one claw on my right foot then onto my left foot, jump onto my shoulder and then straight onto my Boro bobble hat lol, true story

Crows are really intelligent. There's a guy who makes brilliant sculptures from sheet metal in Reeth. He used to keep a crow called Joe in his workshop - and it could talk. His little lads had apparently brought it into the family home when it was injured as a chick. It grew up in the house around them and picked up their voices. It was the most unnerving thing, listening to this crow talking garbled English in little boys' voices.

Same here! Everyone one our block has sparkly streamers on their balcony which puts them off for at least a day. Could do with a hawk wielding guy to scare them

There's a fella over a a Factory in Newton Aycliffe flies a Harris Hawk for the same reason, beautiful bird.
Yep, he's a nice chap. Our factory on Heighington Lane have availed themselves of his skills. My car bore the brunt of said hawk when it had the squits !

I nearly shat my pants a day or two ago. Nothing to do with Hawks though. I think I just undercooked that chicken that I'd had for lunch.

Rather unsavory I know, but birds of prey had to be used after the Ladbrooke Grove bombings to stop the pigeons carrying off 'items' from the scene.
