Nervous for Sunday

Completely relaxed and just happy to be enjoying the football again. Whatever happens next week it’s been one of the most enjoyable seasons in years despite starting as one of the worst.

If we go up fantastic, if not then we should have a good chance next year

Quite relaxed to be honest but it is constantly on my mind.

Been watching a lot of our highlights on YouTube and it's probably helped put any doubts aside as we've shown countless times this season just how good we can be.

Know for a fact on Sunday morning it'll all change and the first 10 minutes of the game will be horrific (unless we do a Cardiff 2004 and score two...).

Im not nervous, im excited. Its an amazing opportunity and i hope we play well and take it. If we dont i'll be gutted but thats the risk you take when you care about something and want it

if your nervous would you prefer our season ended last weekend?

Sunday's going to be either 0-2 or 2-0 . We don't do draws..... apart from last week's "friendly"
Being a positive person I'll go for 0-2 and a Sheff U performance.
Carrick will have done the right preparation this week and whatever team we put out will go onto the pitch and do us proud.
On Wednesday it will be 1-1 and then it's Wemberlee!
Hoping Sunderland don't get there it will make booking trains from Newcastle a nightmare with their game being the day before ours

Surprisingly chilled.

If we play to our potential we should be ok. I'd feel a lot more confident if there was news about injuries but MC is never going to disclose that info. We've had a great season and the future looks bright under Carrick - trust in his tactics!

I feel fairly relaxed about it at the moment. I'll feel completely different going into the 2nd leg though if we're chasing the game. Just hope we can avoid a defeat on Sunday at least.

I am starting to worry whether we're going to have enough goals in us, having McGree and Jones in the team instead of Forss and Ramsey.

Saying that, I remember us hammering a few teams at the Riverside with McGree in the side.

Fairly relaxed as I think we are the better team. However if it's an even game, be more tense for the second leg. However, if we go out, be a big disappointment due to us having a pretty good team. Balanced by the fact that when next season starts, will no doubt believe we will have a good chance of winning automatic promotion. Previous play-offs, we weren't favourites, particularly against Villa. Norwich was probably 50:50, but once we conceded early, were never really in the game. This team can generally come back from being behind in games.

Yeah I'm lying I'm bricking it along with most others. Sunday I'll be out on the moors staying away from any info. Come full time I'll have a look at the BBC sport page and scroll as slowly as possible to the result hardly daring to look (what the hell I'm achieving by doing this I haven't a clue but I always do it )
I do that "slow scroll" thing when I have to. Pretend I'm really interested in how the Birmingham v QPR game is panning out...🤣

But you're $hit out of luck on Sunday, it's the 4th result down after the 3 Prem games, so the result will be in your face as soon as the page loads? Maybe spend a little more time hovering your finger over the link to the page instead.👍

I don't think it will be either of those scores on sunday tbh, I think both teams will score.

I feel like because we booked our place in the play offs like 2/3 weeks ago I've been completely relaxed regarding Boro since the Hull game. I've been just chilled out and I still felt that way until last night when I watched a whole load of You tube Predictions, match day blogs from Monday and random Middlesbrough videos, that got me feeling nervous!

I'm just waiting for Sunday now. Although I do think part of that is our absentees. If they were all fit and available I think my nerves would vanish

That had occurred to me so I either plan to slowly put on my reading glasses or peep through gaps between my fingers. :giggle:

I'd say I'm apprehensive about Sunday. I'll be travelling at the time so will have to rely on 5 Live for coverage which might be a good thing rather than watching it as I find it less worrying if I can't see what I'd happening on the pitch.
As long as we don't have a 'Huddersfield' moment then I'll be happy going into the 2nd leg.

I think it will be easier for the players, once the game kicks off they will get caught up in the game.

I hate watching games on TV, some and totally illogical reason I feel more comfortable actually being at the match.

I’m working away next week but I will be back Wednesday night.

just thinking of Sunday on it's own, there is a lot of FOMKPU detected above, that's Fear Of Missing Key Players and Underperforming. That contrasts with comments on Sunderland on Saturday with a lot of FOMO , thats fear of Mackems Overperforming.
It is what it is . There's nowt we can do . I feel like the subject in Munch's Scream .
