New Carrick Song? I feel fine!

Quite a few posts about the 'Wilder said' song being revived with different lyrics - let's get it happening!

But as an alternative, this one has mileage! To the tune of the Beatles 'I Feel Fine'

Michael Carrick said to me,
Ya Know we'll win at Wembley
Ya Know he said so.
I'm in love with him and I feel fine.

I'm so glad that Carrick is a red
I''m so glad I'm telling all the world! (Change to deliver what he said when we win!)

Repeat!

See the Liverpool fans doing their Klopp version

I know the Wilder said song really caught on, but I can't be alone in thinking that Carrick deserves more than a rehash of a tune that was created for a bloke that did less well than him and much more importantly showed many signs of being a slippery turncoat out to feather his own nest and blame everyone else for his shortcomings?

To be fair, I don't think the "Wilder song" was necessarily Wilder specific. He was mentioned once in a song about the players of the team. Could be even replace Wilder / Carrick with Gibbo and it wouldn't be out of place .. but it DID get everybody singing .. the entire stadium .. and so if it was brought back in some fashion then that can only be a good thing.

You cant rehash a song .. see George Friend and I'm sure there's another player we did this for too who's name escapes me at the moment

For the record i 'hated' said chant i was glad when it died not because it was a $hit chant, simply because it was sang far too often to the point where I got sick of hearing.it. Until recently none of McNair, Jones or Crooks were even 1st team players

Can we stop nicking Liverpool songs thanks.
where do you think the liverpool fans get songs from ?

on this occasion its off lennon/mccartney

for 'you'll never walk alone' its Rodgers & Hammerstein

for the bobby firmino song it was from a South American folk song, sung by football fans.....

all songs in football are 'stolen'- mcnamara's band has produced hundreds of versions of football songs.

OR (I’d argue) he’s deserving of one of the most unifying and memorable chants we’ve ever had than the treacherous Wilder who, in hindsight, did not deserve it.

It's like us offering a ring to a girl we met in town who we thought was "the one" only to find she was trying to shag someone else behind our back (called Burnley) .. but now .. enough time has passed and we're ready to give that ring to another girl we've met ..

I live for the day that sees a song typed on here be sung at the match
They’re nearly always awful and overly crafted. There must be a structure for successful catchy football songs - theres no hook in any of these, too many of them are verse rather than chorus. Someone do an in depth musical analysis of the most successful terrace chants from the past 40-50 years eh

I posted this on a different thread but anyway, the best rehashed lyrics I've seen (stolen from twitter)

Ohh Carrick said
He f***ing loves the boys in red
Whoo words can't describe
Watching footy at the Riverside
And in our prime
We score belters all the time
That's why we sing this song
For the boro all night long

Not many songs got the full place going like that did.

Just keep the original ones and change our Wilder.. job done!

The “Wilder said“ song was (I think) unique to Boro, I,ve not heard any other team using the Enola Gay tune, but every team sings the “we,ve got super (manager,s name) song so we should 100% bring it back
