Newcastle takeover .

Good luck to them. About time north east took limelight away from london and the north west domination. Also wonder what gibsons views are now, he not feeling even more left behind? Only positive i can see is we may attract better youngster in the north east to the academy as im sure with all that cash newcastle lads will be forgotten about and defo have less chance if playing in the first team with all the potential foreign superstars arriving.

Leicester felt a bit different, bit of a rags to riches story. We were in a similar position to them. Nigel Pearson saved the day, Bargain's galore.. none of it felt out of reach.

Huth, De Laet & Schwarzer all in the mix.

Atm, at our most sucessful we're probably competing for players with Newcastle.. if they go Galactico they can pinch players of real madrid, barca etc.. it won't effect us

Why?

Their success would benefit us in absolutely no way

Newcastle continuing to be a complete failure is far better for Middlesbrough football club than any success would ever be.

Superstars arriving in the North East might convince many other (slightly) lesser players that it's not a wasteland. Newcastle might agree to loan some of their staff to local clubs. People who want to watch live football in the North East but are priced out at Newcastle might visit Boro instead.

Yes our 40 or so miles away nice and local what utter rubbish. Btw Sunderland and Durham would both take this traffic anyway

All it will do is boost Newcastle city Newcastle academy Newcastle infrastructure.

that’s the region they care about.

Loads of Geordies singing “we’ve got our club back” they thought they we’re finally going to be the black and white Man Utd they always wanted to be when Mike Ashley came in.. then they screamed and shouted when he was genuinely improving the club.

Now they think that they are quite rightfully going to be the new Manchester City.. but even better!

No consequence to having your club handed over to a mega rich consortium.. right ho!
 
It will be interesting to see what reception Bruce gets in their next game; it's a sell out (no pun intended) and it's nailed on he'll eventually be sacked.
