DfE have told schools not to give free school meals in the half term holidays. How out of touch do you have to be to see that covid is causing huge hardship to so many people that were already struggling before.

If I understand the money is there and there is a process but to change from one process for when at school to another for half term will be sure to cause more chaos and mayhem. Just get one scheme working and stick to it inside or outside of term time would be my view.

It's like they don't think about it; but we know they do- none of them have an idea of what goes on in schools, the problems that decisions cause especially ones that are last minute which this will be again!
