Nicola Bulley still missing

Thing that gets me about the falling into the river line is that there is a weir less than 200m down river from the spot she has allegedly fell in. That would have stopped her body going any further

There is no flow in the river at the moment, not sure what it was like last week. If there's no current, the body would not have travelled far. Hopefully, she is still alive.🤞
There is flow & under currents, it just looks calm because it’s deep water. That section is approx 18’ deep.

A group of private divers have joined a police search to find missing Nicola Bulley.
The 45-year-old was last seen on a riverside dog walk in St Michael's on Wyre in Lancashire 10 days ago.
Police believe Ms Bulley may have fallen into the River Wyre.
Divers have already been scouring the water, while volunteers have joined the search along with mountain rescue, sniffer dogs, drones and helicopters, but no trace of her has been found.
A team of divers from the private Specialist Group International (SGI) are now assisting with the search.
Forensic expert Peter Faulding, the firm's founder, said: "If Nicola is here, I'm happy we will find her, if she's in the river."
He added his specialist equipment, a high-tech sonar which will scan the riverbed, has a "very high hit rate".

Peter Faulding, at the front of the boat, said his team needed three or four days to search for the missing mum
Mr Faulding said: "If we can't find her in the next three or four days in this river, if she's not here, then I'm confident that she's not in this stretch of river. I'd be very confident of that."
He added: "We are going to be working our hardest, we'll probably be working under darkness tonight for a while and that's my intention to help the family."

Police said SGI's offer to assist in the search was "taken up after speaking with Nicola's family", adding: "We continue to lead an extensive and far-reaching multi-agency search using a wide range of specialist equipment and resources."
Family friend Emma White told BBC Breakfast she hoped the specialist team would be able to bring "answers".
She said: "Following the theory or hypothesis of the police that Nicola is in the river, we need some evidence to back that up either way."

And it's more like a stream than a river ...

Even rivers with the most calm looking flow on the surface can have a fast undercurrent and being fully clothed in winter gear, with wellington boots on, in such a cold body of water, would make survival very difficult indeed.

Them lads joining the search have sonar and have said if the poor lass is in the river they would find her..... awful situation 😞

Still no sign.

I honestly thought she had gone in to the river but now I`m not so sure

Apparently another exit out of the area not covered by CCTV.

Could she have just walked away from everything?
If she went in the river why has her body not been found? Is the river that fast flowing it could have carried her to the estuary before a real search was undertaken?

Very distressing for her family and friends, they need an answer.

If she walked away why didn't the dog follow her?
Don`t know CtC

My dog would have unless it couldn`t......maybe hers couldn`t follow

Thought I read a report saying the dog was loose around the bench (that the phone was on) and a gate.

We know the dog wasn`t afraid of going in the water from historical images, so I would have thought if she fell in it would have followed but it didn`t as it was bone dry when found

It would have dried by the time she was reported missing?

On a related note they just found a body in the River Ure at Ripon of a guy who had been missing since December and that is a much smaller river. Flowing water is capricious, I believe the river was running high when she went missing?
