I read yesterday that the reason we don't have 24 hour vaccination centers is because there is no demand. Interestingly enough, this conclusion was reached based on questioning of people going for their vaccination. When asked "When would you like to be vaccinated?" Nobody replied, "2am would be good."
There is a very good argument for having a 2 tier system, with your elderly and vulnerable being vaccinated 9-5 when they can get a lift or use public transport. Then a second tier, between 6pm-6am for people who have underlying conditions or are quite old and are prepared to present at a center in the middle of the night.
I suspect that it is just not having the bodies to administer the vaccination and/or limited supplies at the moment.
Hats off to those voluteers, I couldn't inject someone, I am afraid of needles.
