Do some fans particularly in the north enjoy making things as difficult as possible for our keepers. So many on Steffans back every time he didn’t hoof the ball. They did the same with Lumley last year as well

This is the way we play now and it’s clearly effective, why would anyone make it difficult for players at home, especially when they’re lacking in confidence. Some even booing his name when the line ups were read out too. Can these fans stay away.
 
So many people around me absolutely bricking it every time the ball went back to him it was almost farcical.

What was notable was every time either keeper went long, the other team gained possession almost straight away.. this is why we don’t ‘just put yer fkin foot through it’ as the football genius behind me kept shouting.

Steffen underhit one pass out towards Giles in the second half but other than that did nothing wrong.

Oh.. and he kept a clean sheet.

One small mistake but apart from that he had a very good game. Noticeable every time we went long from the keeper we lost the ball which just makes the moaning sound stupid.

Yes we will make mistakes doing this but it will create significantly more chances than it costs us
 
The booing as Steffen's name was read out was embarassing.

But there's always been a handful of d***heads.
 
Steffen was immense today.. he continues to be immense. The same fans that are getting on Steffen’s back are the same ones that we’re giving Schwarzer stick.. it’s a clear way to tell if a fan knows fook all about footy.. they harp on about Steffen.

They’ll be happy to know that he won’t be returning next season on loan.. Man City want him back and he is still very highly regarded.

I invite anyone to watch the game today back again and see who our man of the match was.. it’s a tough call with so many fantastic performances. Forss on the right wing was outstanding, Archer made one hell of a devout oozing premier league class and Chuba continues to show he is the real deal.. but it was Steffen amazing saves, distribution.

All about opinions I'm afraid. Asking them to stay away? It takes all sorts to make the world go round. Great 3 points for the boro today enjoy it.

They should stay away. These fans are actively making it more difficult for our players at home. The club doesn’t need these type of supporters.

The club is sat in third, it’s one of the best times we have seen in recent years yet some decide to boo their own keeper. It’s mindless

It's true, you have to accept that there are all sorts of people in the world.
Like there are the utterly stupid and ignorant people who boo our own player and scream "just kick it" like it's 1985, every time the ball goes back to our keeper.
 
It is strange - we played as well as I have seen us play this season today, made a good Watford side look very ordinary. Steffan contributed to that with an important clean sheet, his grab at feet of the Watford forward at the start of the second half was important and brave. We should cherish days like today and just take out loads of positives from a great all round performance. They say you get the team your fans deserve, I hope not as we have too many misery doom mongers always looking for a negative. Have a week off
