Norwich fan view on Boro breakdown podcast

It is a results business. Carrick came in at a very difficult time.
8 points from 5 matches, including 2 very encouraging and unusual away victories, is a very promising start. Anybody not giving him credit for that has an agenda.

But like the man himself says, let's stay calm and be patient.
The squad is not great, has obvious weaknesses/limitations and will almost certainly not trouble the top 6 this season.
The recruitment was disappointing/underwhelming, but Carrick seems capable of getting a much better tune out of what is at his disposal.
I was optimistic about him when he was appointed and am even more so now.

6 out of their last 8 games have been against teams in the current top 9, and if they hadn't played QPR last but 1 game probably would have won that game making it 3 wins from last 3. I watched them against QPR, they moved the ball fast , choosing good passes and created many chances. I know we are seeing an upturn in our own confidence but I would be very happy with a draw here and also not conceding in first 25. Can't see comfortable win for us here at all , they are no mugs . It's a real test for us

Almost certainly not trouble the top 6? I don’t know, if carrick continues to build and the fact we have a break now and then a window no long after the break it’s not out the question for us to have a run at the playoff.

I think teams who can’t match our quality will find themselves dominated like Bristol city and Blackpool. We’ve found someone in Hackney who has a lot of quality on the ball

For balance it could go a little like wilder, people see how we play and then come up with a solution to stop us. I do think the weaknesses are harder to identify in carricks formation, especially as he seems to be coaching individuals rather than relying on the system

I’d give it 50/50 whether we will get to playoffs or just finish outside

Not quite what the threads about but , just wondering whats the Norwich fans connection as he sounds like hes from Teesside ?
Oh and Boro Interlinked has it right. I cant understand how people be so confident , maybes im just a miserable old twxxt
