It is a results business. Carrick came in at a very difficult time.
8 points from 5 matches, including 2 very encouraging and unusual away victories, is a very promising start. Anybody not giving him credit for that has an agenda.
But like the man himself says, let's stay calm and be patient.
The squad is not great, has obvious weaknesses/limitations and will almost certainly not trouble the top 6 this season.
The recruitment was disappointing/underwhelming, but Carrick seems capable of getting a much better tune out of what is at his disposal.
I was optimistic about him when he was appointed and am even more so now.
