Oasis would be different, look at Noel’s slot at Glastonbury, 80,000 people singing along to an oasis b-side. I can't believe Heaton Park was ten years ago.
I felt old then and now I feel old squared.

I enjoyed both shows but the first one was spoilt by loads of tw*ts lobbing bottles of p*ss around, chucking full cans and bottles, crushing the crowd by surging forwards, there was people dropping like flies for the first half hour so. Happy Mondays supported them so I was very pleased I got to see them. And Doves were on first.

The second time, in Manchester, really annoyed me because they ended on a Who song. All that stuff the crowd love(d) from the first two albums - and The Masterplan, a forgotten and/or overlooked gem IMO - and you end on a sub-standard Who song? Nah, not for me that.

I wouldn’t go and see them again. I went to see Liam Gallagher at Ally Pally a few years back and that was great. But I wouldn’t see Oasis again. It’s been and gone for me now.

You would think these shows will sell out in minutes. May even be broadcast on the BBC. Surely they’d do Knebworth, Manchester and Wembley.

Man City big would probably have been the same one I was at in 2005. Same day as live 8. I really enjoyed it.

Loved Liam in the mid-90s when he could sing properly and consistently and the arrogance was backed up, but nowadays, although I do take an interest in his music etc, I don't follow him about like I did with Oasis. I still see Noel on every tour, the music he has written has had an enormous influence on my life (and not just Oasis).

Trust me, Liam can sing. At Knebworth last year his voice was the best i've heard it.

Not consistently, sometimes he's terrible. I was at their Roundhouse gig in 2009 which has now become legendary for just how disunited the band was and Liam could barely drum up the motivation to swagger over to the mic and shout an edited version of the lyric into it. When he did, he sounded like any other ***ed up crowd member bellowing nonsense at the top of their lungs.

Ha yeh I was there for that, Liam came out and said every one could have their money back… Noel quickly tried shut that down!

Was that the infamous gig when somebody in the audience threw a pint of lager at Liam when he first came on stage?

Yeh they sent signed cheques out if you sent your ticket stub to them… there was quite a short cut off point if I remember rightly… I remember Liam prematurely came on stage and started shouting how **** it was and every one can have their money back… and 20 mins later Noel was on stage basically saying he thinks it’s been a top gig… and if your not a d*ckhead you’ll recognize that and not ask for your money back! I still had a quality time and just forgot to ask for the money back!

I think he struggles singing the faster paced rock songs these days. This performance of Morning Glory is one example. His vocals sound very different to how his vocals sounded when he sung this during the 90's.
He can still sing Do You Know What I mean as well as he could in the 90's though.
