Old Middlesbrough buses had lettters rather than numbers - the A bus B bus and so on. But there was only one Middlesbrough bus that had a number not a letter. What was the number of this bus and what was its route?

Route 11 shared between Stockton and Middlesbrough buses. I can't remember the route but believe it was from the E£xchange, Acklam , Thornaby to somewhere in Stockton. Sorry my memory is fading.

Used to get the Link bus from Cranmore Road near Brambles Farm Shops which I think was the start of its journey to Coronation when I went to Stainsby school. Not sure where it went after that.

The Link used to go along Acklam Road and turn around at the end of West Lane near the Blind School and then back the other way.

I seemed the remember all the red United Buses had numbers, but the Teesside Corporation buses had letters.

Weren't trolley buses great!

The used spare energy from Cargo Fleet Works. No Carbon , No Smoke, Little noise - super green machines.

Overhead cables were a bit ugly mind.

Such a shame when the trolley buses cross the country disappeared. But the petrol engine was king - in some minds. :(
