He pulled out of their last squad without making an appearance.

I expect he'll end up playing for them anyway, but I do think he's an underrated player that I'd have liked to see capped for England at some point.
 
Might get us a bit more money if any of the add-ons we agreed involved an international call-up.

Glad he's guaranteed to not play for Ireland now as long as he plays 1 minute +.

Weird that Greenwood is excluded despite being fit, he's started the season quite well too.
 
I personally dont see Bamford being good enough for the international stage. Plenty of strikers have had a good season in the Premier League and not followed it up - he also missed a lot of chances last year.

Its a big and different step up. International football is slower and much more defensive, even some of the great players dont stand out. The so called poor teams are more organised and harder to break down than ever before and very physical something Bamford isn't good at.

I'm happy for him as a lot worse have had caps but i don't see this being a long lasting thing

Same ***** that people said about him cutting it in the PL.
 
I love Bamford. Always tried his best for us but Antonio is by far the better striker of the 2 of them IMO.

He pulled out because he didn't have his Jamaican passport in time. I believe he has now.
 
As much as I have issues with pullis and I detested him, I’m sorry but this decision is on Steve Gibson he own the club and nothing happens without his say so. So as I say I’m sorry but for me the Bamford sale is as much on Steve as it is on pullis.

still a shockingly awful decision.

Anyone could see the potential he had, it was certainly clear he was going to be worth a lot more than 10 million one day

Even without that it was clear he was significantly better than the strikers we had at the time, or anyone we have brought in since.

Shocking business
