People coming from London for WBA game

I am going to London on Friday supposedly coming back on Saturday which is the day LNER are on strike. Anyone from down there know if they will be running a reduced service as they did during the RMT strike. This time it is the train drivers union ASLEF who are on strike. There is no alternative timetable on LNERs site yet.

Should there be no LNER trains running any suggestions of how to make the journey North. I am assuming you will be able to use other operators trains during strike at least thats what they told me at Redcar ticket office.

It's only drivers who are striking on Saturday and, as @Johnny Vincents Motorbike said earlier in the week, Grand Central drivers are not striking so their trains should run as normal. That said, they only run a small number of five-car trains a day and they are normally packed anyway, so I wouldn't be relying on them getting you north on Saturday morning unfortunately. If LNER do run any trains I'd expect them to be few and far between. The only other option that I can think of is to use EMR out of St Pancras to Sheffield as they are not on strike but I've had a look at their website and they warn that they will be busy and may be using boarding controls. Not a great picture, I'm afraid.

Managed to get a seat on Grand Central at 11:25 which strangely was not there yesterday.Should get me back to Boro around 2ish. Still got the option of getting an LNER train if they have a limited service. If not can claim fare back.
Had looked at EMR Capybara. Was looking at getting Great Northern to Peterborough, EMR to York and then Transpeninne back to Redcar so there is some options.

Have you been allowed to use other services when the strikes are on.

Just hope Phoebe Bridgers is worth it(as if she won't be). Thanks for the replies.

Don't see what all the worry is about - the government have signed legislation allowing scabs - sorry agency staff - to cross picket lines and carry out the strikers jobs. Absolute bonus for the dozens of train drivers sitting about waiting for their next opportunity.
Everything good, yeah 👍
