As For me he’s one of the most technically gifted player to come out of the academy in years. Everything he does is positive ok not everything comes off but he gives us drive and momentum.

there seems to be this bunch of fans that just don’t like him and as I say I just don’t get it.

He's certainly one of our best players. He's got strength now and a measure of versatility.

The criticism I would make of him are based on his vision and decision making in the final third.

If he can improve on that we've definitely got a player of value.

Couldn't agree more, I can't get my head 'round the stick he gets.

He obviously has loads of talent and I would definitely play him.
However most of us can see that his output/end product has been disappointing and he should be capable of more.
His decision making is often poor - when to shoot, when to hold, when to release.

I think most of it is constructive criticism to be fair. I doubt there is a single fan who wouldn’t play him. He would be in every eleven I pick. His drive and dribbling and workrate is worth a place in the team alone. You would always try and get him in the team. I think the criticism is just simply on decision making and his poor shooting at times. If he tidies is it up he will be some player.

His energy is massive for us and for this reason Warnock would never drop him. He regularly gets back and makes last ditch tackles to get us out of trouble and that's as good as a goal for me. He just needs to relax a little more in the final third. He's got a cracking shot on him but at the minute he's snatching at everything and not playing the square pass when he should. But he's a talented lad and I'm confident he will improve. He always gets in my team that's for sure.

Needs to be a lot more measured and controlled in his shooting. He'd get 10 goals a season easy with a little more composure. It's like he's trying too hard but he doesn't need to, he'd be our main man if he just took it a little more easy in the final third.

I think most people know he’s capable of Elmore which is leading to the frustration that’s being vented.

Hes a cracking player and so is Joe Lumley.
Tav will only get better because he an Payero are developing an understanding of each others game.
Tav could have gone to a number of clubs but hes here...
Same as Dael Fry and maybe one or two others.
Bamba and Crooks, Sporar, Howson, Ouchie, Watmore, McNair, Jonesy, Josh.....
There isnt one bad player in the squad.
They all try.
Some are at the end of their careers.
Some have only just begun.

We all have the right to be critical about players and give them praise where its due.

For me, its the Managers responsibility to combine the players strengths and create the right blend.

A unit is only as good as its leader.

Tav is a marvellous talent, up there with the very best produced by our academy in the last 20 years, and it's good to see that he's getting the gametime to showcase what he can do this season. I understand he can occasionally be frustrating in terms of end product but you can only produce based on the resources available to you, and I would hazard a guess that multiple directionless coaching teams have done little to harness the raw ability he has and subsequently hone it into something which can give him that cutting edge. I have no doubt that what Tav has produced this season is a result of his own hard work and that deserves a massive amount of credit.

If he is to fulfil his undoubted talent he has to work on his final ball decision making and shooting. Do this and he will be a true talent with the ability to be a true match winner. And before anyone starts this is constructive criticism- something I am sure the club tell him
'Constructive Criticism' is that what we're calling it now 😂👍🎃

Agree with much of that but there's a responsibility on the player to go and search out whay he needs. It's not as if they live in a bubble with no resources.

Tav is in his 3rd proper season and hasn't really moved on from his debut. There's a ton of talent there but his decision making is ridiculous at times - both in attack and defence. He gives a lot of very unnecessary fouls away in dangerous positions defensively - either through lack of awareness, stupidity or petulance.

Going forwards he needs to bring other players in and his passing needs to improve. I don't mind strikers shooting from distance as long as they're mixing it up - it forces defenders to worry about those multiple options.

I'm hoping Sporar does some work with him as he seems to have a real understanding of forward play.

Tav is good. He could be great or he could end up being another wasted talent - very much up to him and I really want him to make it.

He will be fine - just trying to force things a bit too much at the minute. He’s still a key player for us and we look far more attacking when he plays.

His end product is dreadful... Is one goal and one assist really what you look for from an attacking midfielder that you believe has so much talent? 🤔

For me he needs to work on his decision making and remember it is a tem game and not Tav v the other team as often he just runs down blind alleys or just lashes a shot over or wide.

He's been average for me, I say that about him as one of my favourite players. I think he's a cracking player and is capable of delivering so much more, his shoot on site policy has probably cost us a goal or two IMHO.

He seems to be trying extra hard and overplaying, I assume from a touch of frustration from being stuck out wide and even being asked to fill in as a RWB/RB.

I think it'll come for him.

Could he play in a three man midfield with Crooks and Payero?

Absolutely. (y)
Thats why it would be premature to break up those three in order to give a returning player their "place back".
