Thick as a Boxing Day turd. Hung himself there.m, he’ll rightly be done for terrorism.

Did they ever think of liaising with the affected families to see if they want police attacked and riots in the name of their tragically dead and injured children? I can guess what the answer would be.

This one statement from him meets the criteria of terrorism. Unlawful use of violence (“running riot” , “burning police cars”) in the pursuit of political aims (“get the governments attention”). Enjoy porridge lad

Any idiots planning on attending consider this too;

Middlesbrough is a town built on immigration. It is highly ironic complaining about it.
Absolutely this. Boro is a bit like an Aussie town being that it is a relatively new town built on the back of immigration. We all came from somewhere to build this town and it doesn't matter if in the 1850's or the 2020's ALL are welcome here.

My own family came from Ireland to work in the foundries for a better life.

Isn't there a mosque just yards away from the Cenotaph?

Its quite an emotive location - with hundreds of names of the WW1 dead on the walls of the park and the war memorial plus the Stan Hollis statue, even the Dorman Museum was built in memory of a lost son of a local industrialist, from the Boer War.

I would hope that people on Teesside never go down the fascist/racist route with supporting EDL. In the past BNP and NF got little support on Teesside. The same for Blackshirts in the 1930s despite all the poverty and deprivation in the area.
Boro has had its moments, but I see the town as more tolerant than other northern towns.

Would break my heart to see trouble there.

Krystallnacht.

Kristallnacht

On November 9–10, 1938, Nazi leaders unleashed a series of pogroms against the Jewish population in Germany and recently incorporated territories. This event came to be called Kristallnacht (The Night of Broken Glass) because of the shattered glass that littered the streets after the vandalism and destruction of Jewish-owned businesses, synagogues, and homes.
