Planned riot in Middlesborough last weekend.

I dunno, if feels calling the sky fairies is deliberately going out your way to undermine someone belief system.

It’s still on a curriculum to be taught in schools

Big difference to flat earth, as that directly contradicts what we are taught in school through science
I’m not talking directly to someone n their beliefs, so I’m not undermining anyone

Religions should be fought at school as part of social sciences and history, not as fact. Although I don’t believe in having specific faith schools, because faith is personal and shouldn’t be paid by the tax payer or conflated with education.

If we have religious people on this site then I disagree, because they can read it etc

It costs nothing to be respect what people’s beliefs.

I think we are getting into semantics and my religious beliefs align to yours. Always good to debate

I'm watching a live stream of a counter March in Newcastle.

The guy with the megaphone just asked for the Geordies present to give a shout out which was greeted by the majority, a few responses when asked if any mackems had turned out and stoney silence when he asked if any Boro were present.

I wish I was there to represent our region.

In amongst all this division and hate, I'm beginning to realise not all Geordies and Mackems are vvankers.

Some fantastic clips on this link of LBC’s Tom Swarbrick putting Farage in his place.

I often listen to Tom on my drive home and he is a rare breed as a journalist in that he is prepared to challenge politicians from all parts of the spectrum.

He is in trouble

Is it quiet in Boro? I feel out of the loop now I’ve deleted Twitter!
My mate was in Albert Park earlier between about 6pm and 8pm. It’s normally heaving with families this time of the year around that time in the evening. He said he seen about 6 people while he was there walking his dog. Said it felt like the pandemic again.

A lot of talk was going on about organised protests again. I seen a number of pubs and restaurants etc opted to close.

Part of me did wonder how many of these will be genuine / well attended. Either way, it’s doing what it’s designed to do and create fear and stop people going about their daily lives.

Seen a few videos of anti-protests in Newcastle, Sheffield, London tonight on TikTok.

All I've seen so far is the following

Cleveland Police have this evening arrested a man for failure to comply with a Section 60AA authority, which is special police powers that were put in place following public disorder in Hartlepool and Middlesbrough over the past week.

Failure to remove a face mask

Happy to report that the police are saying the town is quiet and people are respecting the law and each other this evening.
What's happened has happened and those responsible will have to pay a price, but lets move on, talk about our grievances to us as leaders and even better to each other.
Our town is a much better place when all our residents work together.
Ian
