Yeh, I have no idea why they haven't announced it officially yet. Daft isn't it.
It was on EFL website as the Monday but that’s been removed now. I was told from a good source involved with another championship club not Boro.I'm almost certain that the play off final date was confirmed on this page previously: https://www.efl.com/news/key-dates/ - this now just says 27-29 May.
I'm pretty certain when the fixtures were released, clubs put a bit on the end stating that the Championship Play Off Final was the Monday too. Having a quick look now, I can't see it on Boro's, but it's here on Blackburn's announcement - https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2021/november/15/efl-announces-2022-23-dates/
I've had plenty of conversations around hotels/travel etc for Wembley, and everybody I've spoken too has been under the impression it was announced as the Monday and have booked travel/hotels etc accordingly. It's definitely been announced somewhere previously!

Shocking if it is the Saturday and they havent announced it by now! EFL Website states 27-29 for play off finals so I would guess Championship Final would be the Monday. Didnt we play Norwich on the Monday? Last years was on the Sunday! Selfishly I hope it isnt the Monday as I have to travel back to work so will miss some or all depending on Kick Off time
We have a family 60th birthday party. Likewise, will be a tad annoyed. We have a family wedding on the saturday, will be F***ing fuming if it is on saturday.
A birthday party doesn't get in the way of a play off final. We have a family 60th birthday party. Likewise, will be a tad annoyed.
I didn't think they had been announced yet. It is always deliberately last minute. Both of the first legs are on Saturday May 13th 2023, one lunchtime, one tea time.
Then the second legs are Tuesday and Wednesday.
