Police convoy in BIllingham

I’d seen something similar out on a run in Billingham the other month. Huge industrial “thing” on the back of a lorry, coming down MH Ave and past town centre. Didn’t seem to make a lot of sense.
 
I saw something earlier (sure it was the Gazette) about a woman who had photographed the police convoy near Sedgefield recently and she was followed home by the police who gave her a warning and told her to delete the photos. But I can’t seem to find it now. It reminded me of this thread from a week or two ago. I’ll post it if I can find the article.

There’s something been going on at the court in Middlesbrough over the last couple of weeks, and prisoners are being transported daily from Durham, probably, but it’s all very hush hush. Must be some high profile individuals on trial.

Anyone know anything?
 
Glad the threads been bumped, I was in Middlesbrough last week for an urgent trip to the bank and there was heavily armed police round the back of the combined court along corporation road, would say at least a dozen of them. Tried to have a good nosey as I went past but one of them had eyes on me as soon as I got in the car rather menacingly. I just assumed high profile court cases / high risk offenders.

Its a tricky one, on the one hand it could be considered suspicious activity, linked to trying to spring whoever is being transported, and it could put the escort coppers in danger. On the other hand, its travelling on public roads and being captured by all manner of dash cams and CCTV.

So as long as she wasnt interfering with a copper doing his job, then they can take a running jump.

Not sure it's that inconceivable? Much of the vaccine was being stored at secret locations until they were distributed, for fear of sabotage or theft.

There is no chance it would use that amount of resources even if it was close to being true.
 
Given the high profile nature of this id advise against digging too deep.

it clearly a sensitive nature and it’s clearly an issue locally.
