Pre-season training camp/matches

Anyone got any inside knowledge on what Boro's plans are this summer for pre-season? I'm hoping there's going to be a summer training camp in the Algarve or even better in Marbella with a game or two as I'm only an hour's drive away. Not seen anything released. May have been dependant on what league we were going to be in next season

I actually hope Carrick has some different ideas than we've seen in the past. I like the friendlies against local teams but are they tough enough for getting ready for the slog ahead? I imagine we might see some different locations than in the past. Burnley didn't play a single proper friendly last summer. Kompany wanted to shock the other teams, and he did.

I'd be happy to not have a clue what was coming.

I suspect we may well see a reduction or complete elimination of games against local sides. Foreign opposition of a similar level. Maybe Bundesliga 2 teams etc... cherry picked with very specific playing styles to test ourselves against different styles of play ready for the new season...hopefully in Marbella :D

We're well overdue a friendly against our North Yorkshire 'neighbours' Harrogate

Just realised they dont take part in the North Riding Senior Cup do they?

A little South West tour would go down well, possibly Exeter, then followed up by Torquay on a Saturday then a 2nd Exeter game as a mini competition 👍

I'm 4000 miles away and have Chelsea and Sunderland both coming to town over the summer! But would rather **** in my hands and clap than go to watch either of them.
