Pub names

Aren't some pub names wonderful? Traditional yet strange ones like The Drunken Duck, to morbidly weird ones such as The Bucket of Blood, which is down in Cornwall.

This all got me thinking (I do now and again), what's the best pub name you have come across, and if you were opening a pub of your own, what would you name it?

Cheers!

The Waxy Dargle in Dublin is my favourite. It was named after the local waxworks employees annual trip the Bray, which is on the river Dargle.
Mine would be the Hammer and Mole Grip, which were the tools I used most when fixing my bike when I was young kid🤪

The Queens Head and Artichoke near Regents Park

The Muscular Arms in Edinburgh ( sadly no more)

A well known folk song, covered by others such as the pogues

Strangest probably was The Bunch of Carrots, near Hereford

My Pub would have the image below on the sign, I’ll leave the name to your imagination
