Pyridine found in crabs

I watched him a few weeks back call it a conspiracy theory alongside other wild accusations
What an ass hole that man is…..see right through the kock
Here it is. 1st Sep 2022:

In an interview for BBC Radio 4 Today Houchen claimed the concerns over pyridine were a conspiracy theory:

“It’s not just pyridine, they think it’s Agent Orange apparently from secret factories in the Second World War. We’ve also been told that it’s Russian submarines trying to cause problems for the UK government. I’m sure you’re not suggesting and they are suggesting that we do testing for these types of completely conspiratorial ideas because if you do that we’ll never get this development underway and finished and that’s equally as damaging to the local people who in our local area want jobs and they want money in their pocket to look after themselves and their families”

He should be swimming in the sea himself as he's such a piece of ****.

His response to pretty much any issue is the need to create more jobs.

He's the worst kind of politician in my view, all about his brand and climbing the greasy pole and little about political conviction.

His answer to everything seems to be his quest to create more jobs, which is great as far as it goes, but the issues are far deeper and more complex than unemployment.

Around half of people in work claim benefits, the highest ever and child poverty is at an all time high. This is in one of the richest economies in the world.

He's a charlatan and a grifter, yet too many people are taken in by his rhetoric.

What are the odds he was wearing a hard hat and hi-viz jacket for a radio interview?

A lot of coverage on Channel 4 tonight.

They showed how the Environment Agency had misused photos of red rust in Hartepool harbour and claimed it was algae.

Another public safety Agency was getting duped on the samples taken. The samples given were taken from the surface of the Tees and not lower down where most of the pollution is. This agency also allowed the dredged material with greater pollution that is normally accepted to be dumped at sea, because it came from a polluted river (Tees).

The development of the South Tees area (actually called South Bank - a first time on Channel 4!) was called the biggest redevelopment of a brown field site in Europe.

The obvious solution would be to dump the dredged material in land fill sites, opposed to dumping at sea. Although the feasibility of this was not covered in the report.

Do you think any of these money men give 2 **** about nature or the area. They’re interested in the constant growth no matter what the cost. Why haven’t they developed Gresham yet they’ll happily build on half of Flatts Lane country park and greenfield sites above nunthorpe

I was a bit disappointed that Alex Thompson didn't include Ben T.'s statement about agent orange and Russian subs. Still, the report did show that the fix is in so fcuk marine life on the North Yorkshire coast, fishermen and the tourist industry.

It's horrendous what's going on, I'm surprised the Tees trust hasn't gotten involved more.

Large economy, not rich one. This is poor country with some very rich people in it.

Is there a process that allows a vote of no confidence in Houchen ?

Surely something as serious as this needs investigation and prosecution by every legal means necessary and all dredging should be stopped immediately so no more damage can be done.

It's another example of Houchen not doing due diligence and riding roughshod over process to achieve the headline he wants, his methodology is to carry enough goodwill from the false promises to ride out the inevitable backlash he knows will come, however I think for all but the most blinkered that reservoir of amity has dried up and the damage of the Conservative wrecking ball rule is all too clear for all to see.
