One of the main reasons I was devastated losing on penalties the way we did last night was the inevitable abuse and threats Rashford, Sancho and Saka were going to receive for their misses.

It's just awful, 3 young lads who will be devastated at missing a penalty in a major final now having to put up with so called England fans abusing them because of the colour of their skin.

I say "put up" with because nowhere near enough has been done to stop it, not by football authorities, world governments or social media companies.

I'm gutted for them on the pitch, but heartbroken for what's happening off it. It has to stop!

I imagine it's why Sterling didn't take one. He's getting pelters for not stepping up as a senior pro.

I guess he's probably thinking 'f*ck that if I miss'.

Good post CB and I would add fmttm to your list, where some can't find it in themselves to say BLM or to condemn booing taking the knee, I find it very sad.

When people defend other people for booing when players take the knee and are to stupid to see the difference between a political group and an anti racist statement even though the people taking the knee are TELLING YOU WHY THEY ARE DOING IT we know we have a problem.

And when Tory MPs think there is nothing wrong with this it just shows that we have racism at the top of Government so it is no surprise that England is a racist place.

Thanks wow. Didn't see that this morning. It's shameful. Hopefully the people involved will be identified and punished.

It was interesting that Johnson condemned the facial abuse. He is part of the problem.

I didn't even realise until late last night when I had a look at Twitter that the three players that missed were black. To read some of the abuse they have since received makes me ashamed and disgusted. Gareth Southgate and this England team represent the very best of this country. This tournament reminded me of the 2012 Olympics, until it didn't. The behaviour of fans in London and the racist abuse represent the worst.

But when you elect a racist Prime Minister, a Prime Minister with a history of racist slurs and that refuses to condemn people booing an anti-racist gesture, a proven bully as Home Secretary who would rather have innocent people drown than offer safe haven and an overtly hostile policy towards immigrants then you are not part of the solution. If you hide behind Marxism as a defence to boo an anti-racist gesture, you're part of the problem.

A glorious, unifying tournament ending with violence and racism. Shameful.

Morning laughing.
I cant post the vile abuse on here - out of decency and respect - but it goes beyond even the pretext of the usual veiled racism.
One awards "points" for hanging, whipping and killing a "N.....".
Other filth highlights the race of each player who missed a penalty.
Its FASCISM pure and simple.
One poster even has his picture and address of his workplace and job! [I`ve photo-shot the post and sent details to the company, who will hopefully investigate if the person is genuine and works for them. If he does, I hope he gets fired and prosecuted].
