Reading Glasses

In addition to my new hearing aid I've been using reading glasses for about a year now.

I get through a pair every couple of months. One of the arms invariably snaps off and can't be reattached.

If someone can invent a pair of reading glasses that last longer than a year they could become very rich.

They would become even richer if they invented a pair of glasses that read the words out for you. :D

Depends where you are getting them from. Bought a few pairs from the Range, obviously a few quid more than average but last a long time.

If you buy a pair of glasses for peanuts you will get something that lasts about five minutes.

I have to wear glasses to drive, read, use a computer, I can just about manage to walk the dog without them! So I get a decent couple of pairs every two years or so. Aside when I dropped and then stood on a pair I've never had anything break or fall off other than the nose pad thingies on a couple of pairs.

I do get cheap ones yes but surely even at £20 what is so difficult about making the arm joint a bit stronger? It's a simple elbow joint not exactly hi tech
