Absolutely this, the lack of respect is distasteful and rather than offering their respects and condolences , people have hijacked to have another attack on the royal family, pathetic really.

It's a shame this RIP thread, of which there have been many, and was started for no other reason than for posters to leave a mark of respect has been turned into one man's anti-monarchy crusade
We hear all the time about not posting on threads that don't interest you, something I agree upon, and if a poster wants to post his rally against the monarchy, yet again, then start another thread on the topic. I think it's really poor form for an individual to divert this thread in this way, and particularly in such a vulgar way
Once a poster I had considerable time for, now one I tend to avoid for the most part

we don't all have to think the same, we don't all have to say what a wonderful guy Philip was, that's the price we pay for freedom of speech. If that offends you then I'm comfortable with that.

Why post on this RIP thread then if you are offended by his existence, just stay away from it and as we live in a Monarchy that also seems to offend you so deeply, why not look for somewhere more suited to your Republican views, as the monarchy isn’t going anywhere, the history books will tell you that.

or nay for Prince Phillip what I do care about is people like you who think because they come on a thread and its not to their liking they start crying to Teacher(or Rob in this case) and wanting to get the thread shunted off into the sidings. So you innocently opened it expecting to see respects and its not to you liking. Well a quick skim through the thread shows loads and loads of posts respecting the guy for various reasons. Others not so. So what I would suggest was innocently closing the thread and any others you don't agree with. That's what everybody else does. If you only want to hear respectful things just tune in to BBC. Have a good day sir! EDIT: just given up on this thread now. Haven't read anymore. Its just bickering between the yeas and the nays and when that happens the thread has gone. Its an open forum both sides should be able to make their points without the other shouting them down.

We have freedom of speech here. I would suggest YOU leave and go to a country where people are not allowed to express their disgust at the corrupt elite if that freedom of speech offends you. Why not move to a country where everyone has to think the same and support the unelected leadership, maybe North Korea might suit you more?
No, we don't, that's not in dispute, but show some class and common courtesy and take your views to another thread. You've come on this thread with a deliberate intention to cause offence which in my view shows a particularly unpleasant lack of decency. Freedom of speech is not intended as mitigation for being wilfully distasteful

Trust Boromart to turn a thread about someone dying into his crusade to crush the evil royal family regime with no real plan on how to do that.

I am just making a suggestion to Rob that we need a FOOTBALL ONLY folder to make it far easier to access what we want to read rather than having to wade through a list of irrelevant and sometimes (as in this case) distasteful content , hardly complaining to the teacher and not too much of an ask I would have thought!!!!!Look I don't really care about whether folks on here post yea
