To absolutely no one's surprise, the little **** is cleared on all charges, and the usual subject Septics will fail to understand why it all kicks off!
Frightening, wonder if he'd have been acquitted if he was black......
I genuinely don't believe so, if that was the case. I know it seems petulant to say so but no.Frightening, wonder if he'd have been acquitted if he was black......
I think your first paragraph covers it. It's beyond comprehension. The thing that strikes me about this case is that a group of men are allowed to unofficially patrol the streets by the police, with high powered firearms, in the midst of a large scale protest.
It's not surprising that something tragic happened as a result.
I have to say though that I'm not entirely surprised by the verdiect, given the circumstances - I certainly don't think it was a cut-and-dried case, given what I've read about the case at least.
He shot the first bloke in the back of the head and the second unarmed guy tried to get the gun off him. Self defence my arze!I think in the US you can legally use lethal force in self defence.
Would it have been the same trial if one or all of the dead guys was black? I think he’d probably be going to jail.Frightening, wonder if he'd have been acquitted if he was black......
The answer is no as you can’t acquit from the morgue can you.Frightening, wonder if he'd have been acquitted if he was black......
Absolutely agree.I think your first paragraph covers it. It's beyond comprehension.
It certainly wasn't a clear cut case, but only because of the astonishing laws around guns. As other have said though if he was black he'd have been shot dead at the time, or found guilty
