Simon Pegg

This policy was introduced years ago wasn't it? I'm sure when Labour were in power, towards the end of their time they said that anybody who didn't get a C grade or above or the equivalent at 16 in maths had to carry on studying it until 18 either in 6th form or as part of a work based qualification. Ir am I just imagining this?

Maths till 18 should only be for the worst kinds of youth criminals. I really bloody hated maths. They should make them do drama too if they've done something really naughty.
There's folk like drama - some of them turn out to be pretty bl**dy good at it, but I suppose they take themselves off to Hollywood and become lesser gods (in their own eyes)

How is sunak even planning to implement it? Kids surely can still leave school at 16?
I believe kids aren't allowed to leave school/education at 16 anymore, they have to stay in either further education or get an apprenticeship of some sort involving ongoing learning alongside practical experience. There might be another option too, but I can't remember it all, but essentially it's around keeping young people in a learning environment until a miniumum of 18. I believe the change was made a good few years back now.

As for Simon Pegg's rant 👏👍

I was good at it myself. I just felt like a fanny doing daft improvisations set by the useless teacher. It was the same with art. Just leave me alone and let me do my own stuff.
