Six nations super Saturday

Pathetic isn't it? They'll likely be 6N champs and completely undeserved and the French will miss out for a second year despite arguably being the better team.
It's a worrying thing. And a shame for a talented French side. Mind the couldn't beat us and as @bear66 wants to point at all the time we were garbage.

France could actually end up in fourth place for all their talent

BTW Jones was on £750k a year before he took a cut relating to the pandemic.
Nice work if you can get it.

I'd be content to stick with Jones unless the RFU were confident of getting a boss as good, or better than he.
We had a terrible year in 2018 and he turned it around. I see no reason why he couldn't do so again. Although, maybe there's more to it behind the scenes this time.

I’m beginning to lose my faith in Jones. It’s not that we were bad this season it’s that we seemed unable to do anything about it. It’s all fine margins and we are close to being a decent side but we didn’t have enough flexibility to cope with our plans being disrupted this season

I just don't get the inconsistency and the indiscipline. Of course the players are as much in it...... but he seems unable to do anything about it.
When we won the world cup all those years ago we very rarely gave away penalties and when we did you could see the disappointment in letting the rest of the team down.
That team ethic and collective responsibility comes from the coaching staff

When Jones joined England went on an amazingly long winning streak. Then there was an awful patch after that. Last year went well, and the world cup semi win against New Zealand was one of the best England performances that I can ever remember.

The question is, do Englnad stick with him - he has proven that he can bring success. Or do they get rid, on the basis of the shoddy season this year. Are their mitigating circumstances that explain this seasons performances?

I'm undecided. I am a bit of a Eddie Jones fan. But something was very wrong this season.

If England let him go, it would be amazing if Italy could stump up the cash to bring him into their setup.
