So were you outside the ground when..

you heard the ROOOOAAAAAAARRR!

Genuinely couldn't believe people heading for the exits with the game on a knife edge and Boro pushing for the win.
The euphoria inside the ground after the winning goal is what live football is all about and shouldn't have been missed and is why we love football.

Hope the few minutes you saved were worth it

I can't believe anyone left early with the chances we were creating. The people to my right left at around 80 mins and others around me left just before injury time. It's moments like yesterday which make all the bad times worth sitting through!

When I had a season ticket the bloke sat next to us had to leave early to get his train back to wherever he lived. Over the years he must have missed so many goals, poor fella.

Always wait now.... probably costs us about 15-20 mins getting home.
As a kid I used get the train by myself from Darlo and had to leave Ayresome Park early to avoid sharing the station with away fans.... they were the bad old/good old days.
Was heartbreaking to hear the cheers when running down Linthorpe Road!

The only time I ever remember leaving a game early was some point during the 93-94 season and I remember hearing John Hendrie score the winning goal from the chip shop about 2 mins down from ayresome Park. I was only 8 but I decided I was never leaving early again!

I had to leave my seat just before the final whistle, but saw the goal in the concourse. Being on the back row means at final whistle it can take ages to get out and today I had to get to my godson's 18th, which meant a drive back home to gateshead, then back down to Peterlee

I know I'm not a real fan but sometimes there are other priorities, even with a 20+ year ST

Only left one game early. We were 0-4away at Pompey, think it was New Year’s Day in the mid 90’s. Didn’t help as we still got stuffed. And got a load of grief from their fans, who were leaving early despite the score line.

A friend of mine always leaves early as he has mobility issues and a train to catch. He missed the winner yesterday and said he couldn't hear the goal being scored and only knew because others who had left were listening to the radio. Iconic goal? Give over. Last-minute goals are scored every week. Maccarone's goals could be described as iconic. So could Job's, or Schwarzer's save at Manchester City. But not that one yesterday. Yours in miserableness, Capybara.

The only game I can remember leaving early was Aston Villa in 2000. I left at half time, we were awful and 0-1 down. I knew there was no way we were going to get back into the game. So I decided I needed alcohol to endure the second half. So went to Dr Browns to watch it. We ended up losing 0-4.

Remember that game. A man a few rows ahead of us ran on the pitch when their keeper was taking a goal kick and booted the ball in the net. The nearest to a highlight the whole game had, bar Gazza breaking his arm on Boateng's face.

Kinda wish I'd left that one early.

Only left early one time. We were getting humped by Ipswich away, even as we left we could hear their 4th go in.

That's ok Artie. Probably about 20 years ago now we had a televised 4pm Sunday game and the bloke who sat next to me left 20 minutes early because there was a good turn on down at the social club and he wanted to make sure he got a good seat.

I **** you not :ROFLMAO:

Not good H & S, people leaving then a significant goal makes them go back up the stairs. They should lock the doors!

Left early once, with about 5 minutes to go, when we were 3-1 down vs Leicester.

Wasn't really a choice as I had a train to catch and the alternative was not going to the match.

We drew 3-3, as if I needed the lesson
