So who if anyone will do MOTD now

Anyone they appointed to do MOTD now will immediately be accused of being a political appointment.

The BBC have backed themselves into a corner with no way out other than to be clearly seen as a Government tool.
I wasn’t planned to be scheduled on MOTD tomorrow however, for the record, if contacted by the BBC I will not be available.

Whoever said that it’ll be a highlights package with no presenting is probably right. Hopefully Mowbray, Pearce and the rest say **** it, they’re with Lineker.

I think some people really struggle when it comes to understanding things like principles, solidarity and decency.
I don't know what the gig would pay, but the actual moral cost of doing it far outweighs the renumeration.
Football media is a whole different industry in itself. Its not like other parts of the industry where you can bring someone in from outside.

Most people in and around the game now have friends and colleagues who will abhor what has happened here. Even if they don't they aren't going to risk the vilification that stepping in would get them.
