Solicitor Recommendation

This is a bit of a long shot but I know that this board is the font of all knowledge:

Has anybody had any dealings with Divorce Solicitors?

My partner has been in a long term wrangle with her ex who is refusing to act upon the Decree absolute issued by the court, in particular the pension sharing order.
Without going into personal details, the complication is that he resides in a different country and previous Solicitors have struggled to work around this.

Any recommendations would be gratefully accepted.

Many thanks in advance

You might want to pm adi, he isn't a divorce solicitor, but is a solicitor so he may be able to recommend someone.

I'd recommend my brother to you but he's an @rsehole so I won't.

He's a lot of things mate but none of them are good. Can't stand the bloke.
That is quite unusual in brothers, I would have thought. I just have 2 sisters and they fought like a couple of cats for years before settling down.

Just one of those personality clash things mate. Hard to believe that he really is my brother TBH. We have so little in common. We didn't speak at all for twenty years and we still can't be in the same room for more than an hour or so without wanting to murder each other. That's families for you. You don't get to choose them.

Nowt as queer as folk bumface. I do get the feeling I would get on with your brother like a house on fire!

The cheek on you to talk about your family in such a way
Can't tell if you're being serious or if that was just an attempt at a 'bumface' joke. If it was the former then I'll just say that you know nothing about me and my family so you're in no position to judge me.

RSA and possibly Zim
South Africa is a signatory to REMO - reciprocal enforcement of maintenance orders. A SA law firm ought to be able to help. If you can find an international family law firm or an English firm with an alliance there you should get it sorted. Typically those firms would be bigger ones - it won't be cheap.

Don't know about Zimbabwe.

Sorry think I may have misjudged the situation. It was a joke as I thought the **** bit was a joke on your part due to bum face
