Songs that emotionally cut you

Second, a song that sums up ageing perfectly (I imagine) ;)

Apols for the live version - damn Bob and his copyright control

Not an album I'm very familiar with anth25 I'm ashamed to say I think I have only heard it once. That will be rectified. That is great as is the one posted by changingman. Sticking with Dylan.

Bob Dylan - If You See Her Say Hello (Take 1)...................This take is a little faster than the original version, love the video as well.

What an unbelievably good thread. I've got three (sorry!)

First up, maybe the most poignant break up song ever?

Fade Into You is already on the playlist. Not a problem it gives me a chance to post my favourite Mazzy Star song. Still makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. Strangely all the time I have had this album(since 1990) I have called this track Holah because thats what it looked like on the album but apparently its Halah. You live and learn.

Mazzy Star - Halah..................previously Holah.

I can’t believe it’s taken so long for me to bring this to the table.

First heard it as probably a 14/15 year old watching snatch, when gorgeous George gets floored, and literally used to play it on repeat, over and over. I later found out from a chef at the restaurant I was a pot washer at that it was about heroin, that only added to its poignancy.
